A strict chain of custody is maintained to ensure the results reported relate beyond all reasonable doubt to a specific sample provided by a particular individual. Our collection producer and specimen collection kits are an integral part of the chain of custody for each specimen. A sample will be reported non negative by the laboratory after it has undergone two separate sets of analysis. The first screening is by immunoassay. Its value lies in the rapid identification of negative samples, ensuring a fast reporting time for the majority of results. Samples that screen non negative will then be tested Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) which can identify with precision the drugs present in the sample.
